About us
Bikeloop AS was founded in 2021 with the goal of making cyclists' everyday lives easier, smarter and more secure through the company's comprehensive solutions for bicycle parking and related services.
The headquarter is located in Lysaker, just outside Oslo, with a branch office in Gothenburg. The company takes a green approach to development and production and is a key contributor to a more sustainable infrastructure for cyclists, supporting government goals for increasing the share of cycling.

Our goal
Bikeloop aims to install 1,000 bicycle parking spaces within the EU by 2027 and address the challenge of insufficient secure parking options for cyclist.

Through smart solutions tailored to urban areas, Bikeloop seeks to innovate urban mobility and make everyday life for cyclists safer, easier and smarter.
We make bicycle parking more secure
The authorities are encouraging more cycling, but there is still a lack of secure and efficient bicycle parking. The current options are inadequate – they are neither secure, visible nor space-efficient.

The bicycle market is growing rapidly, with annual bicycle sales now exceeding 20 million NOK, and bicycles are expected to overtake cars as the preferred mode of transport by 2025.
New regulations require property developers to provide bicycle parking, with at least three spaces per 100 square meters of building area.
Together, we can help solve this significant societal issue.
TEAM BIKELOOP: We work every day towards our goal of making cyclists' everyday lives easier, smarter, and more secure.

"– The idea was to make it simple, smart and secure so that the risk of theft wouldn't be a barrier to using bicycles. With Bikeloop's solutions, cyclists can now park securely, whether the bike needs to be parked for half an hour, while the owner is at work, or overnight in the city center."
Hedda Heyerdahl, founder of Bikeloop
It all began with an orange container placed along the Harbor Promenade in Oslo
Bikeloop was established in 2021, inspired by the Harbor Promenade in Oslo, where the city had placed 14 orange containers to mark the path along the one-kilometer waterfront walkway. Founder Hedda Heyerdahl came up with the idea of making these empty containers more functional by transforming them into smart bicycle parking solutions. Two years later, the first Bikeloop was ready.
In collaboration with Bærum Municipality and their Smart City program, the first Bikeloop HUB was launched at Kadettangen in Sandvika.

"– We welcome all initiatives that help increase the share of cycling in Norway. Secure bicycle parking is a key measure. That’s why we are actively working with authorities to explore opportunities for significantly increasing this share in the coming years."
Eline Oftedal, Secretary General of the Norwegian Cyclists´ Association
